E-Commerce project brought back on track

REMA took over the project management of the IT solution in order to address the projects problems, bring the project back on track, and improve the relationship with the end-user.

REMA undertook the following:

  • An accelerated review of the current project’s status, identifying the key issues, and then putting in place short-term actions to help the project move forward.
  • Redefined the scope of the project with the end-user, producing requirement definition documents and obtaining sign-off.
  • Implemented regular project reporting and account management reviews to improve the credibility of the delivery team and the current relationship.
  • Identified all issues, allocated ownership and priorities, and managed their resolution by actively chasing progress across a number of external organisations.
  • Re-planned the project, obtained buy in, and ensured all dependencies were owned and managed.
  • Addressed the problems within the end-user’s own project management processes, including their management of sub-contractors, lack of planning, and poor reporting processes.
  • Implemented project reporting, change management, issue and risk management processes.
  • Actively managed the project and its costs to ensure that budgets were controlled, dependencies were managed, and key milestones were achieved.
  • Addressed issues with team morale.
  • Implemented the system on time and budget.
